I just bought some of the texture majic by superior threads and one of thier patterns for a purse. I am pretty excited about playing with it. You sew a grid or pattern to the back of it and and your fabric and then steam it to make it rumple up into the quilted look. Then you use that fabric to sew things with. Kind of like making your own pre-quilted fabric.

Has anyone else tried it? I bought mine at ben franklin's last week.

Some quilter's from my guild played with it at "playtime" last time they met. They then passed around the samples at the guild meeting. It was really cool stuff!
I might have to give it a try soon.

I bought a pack of it last week as well but have not used it yet. It is a bit pricey. Hoping to find some deals at the Houston Quilt show next month.

Oh I know it is pricy! But, It is one of those things that could get addicting to play with. I will be trying it out soon. I have to finish up a couple baby quilts first.
I read where they are going to start selling it by the yard. I think that might be the way to go if you are planing to do more than one project with it.

I saw a demo about it a few weeks ago, so cool.

Did you know there is also a thread that does the same thing? Sorry I don't know the name of it tho.
