Thank you, Quilting Board!
I am especially grateful today for all the wonderful wisdom that I have collected from QB members over the past 2 years.
I received a ThimbleLady hand quilting kit for Christmas & finally got around to starting it today. It had a small piece of fabric with a beautiful light black marked design. I wrongly assumed it was pencil & ironed it marked side down. When I turned it over, the marks were gone. After a moment of utter panic, I wondered if perhaps it was a Frixion pen and remembered QB members talking about how you can test if Frixion marks come back sometimes by putting the fabric in the freezer. Oh! How very, very happy I am! All the marks completely came back! Whoo-hoo! I am so grateful for how helpful everyone here is. I would have never thought to try putting it in the freezer were it not for all the wonderful, helpful people on QB. To everyone who has ever posted about Frixion marks coming back in the freezer & to all the rest of you who have shared ideas I have used already or will certainly use at some point in the future -- a HUGE THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to you all! And if any of the staff/volunteers/advertisers responsible for bringing us QB every day are reading this, THANK YOU to you, too! |
I agree we have a great group of members on the QB! :)

I have only been on "board" for a couple of months and have found this board so very helpful, encouraging, and inspiring. I am thankful also.

This is the first time I've heard of someone be happy about the pen lines coming back. Glad it worked for you.

How funny about what Madquilter said. That is wonderful and I agree, the board has taught us so much.

Totally agree with all comments and the best thing is if I forget what I learned I can always come back here & search for it!!

I agree whole heartedly with you Bree123... and you yourself, have also been a great poster who is always willing to share your experiences and ideas.
I do love this board... I'd probably get more sewing done if I didn't spend so much time reading all the posts. :D |
Same here! :)

I have been sewing for almost 60 years and quilting for 40 and I am always learning new things from the wonderful folks on this board!!!!!
|
Our granddaughter, a young military wife, got a sewing machine and wants to start quilting. I gave her this address to join, told her she would learn so much here and if she had questions would find many answers on here for what ever help she needed.

I agree, QB members are the best and I have developed many friendships from this forum, so thank you also QB.
