When you "reply" to a post the icons are on the left side of the screen.

granny216 01-01-2010 09:38 PM

I've been quilting from the 70's and have learned so much since joining. Like we always told our kids you learn something new every day. Thank you many times over to the all the people behind the scenes and the many members who have better or different ways to do things, help us find fabric, patterns and all. Happy New Year and many more years of all the good things you do for us.

Janstar 01-01-2010 10:07 PM

I learn something new everytime I go on here. You guys are the best!

cutebuns 01-01-2010 11:10 PM

Ditto.

Everyone is very friendly, very informative and very good listeners.

mimee4 01-02-2010 06:34 AM

I agree with you and all the others. Each day I check what new ideas have come onto the board. And I, too, thank you all for being supportive and encouraging.
Happy New Year. May our sewing machines roar :-P

Kimcatlou 01-02-2010 06:36 AM

I love the QuiltingBoard messages.
However, I have a complaint. When I check my email and see QuiltingBoard messages, I can't resist checking them. Then the links look interesting, so of course I have to check them too. The time on line passes while the dust, clutter, and dirty dishes accumulate.
I need help with this addiction, but then I might miss something interesting!
Is there any help for me?

I have the same problem. I spend way more time on line than I did before finding the board. BUT it is educational, isn't it?

Kimcatlou 01-02-2010 08:36 AM

No, I really don't want help. It is a fun addiction.

Wine Woman 01-02-2010 08:47 AM

A special thanks to all of you! I too have enjoyed the Board and specially getting to know some online and in person! The wealth of knowledge and experience is so great! I wish all of us many happy stitches 2010! Keep those macnines roaring! :D

Me too 100%. Even at my age (81) I am still learning from you all. Some of your ideas and suggestions are fabulous. Thanks to all of you and Happy New Year. Organize my sewing room? How would I ever find anything.

In a word: NOPE! lol

I know that I have become a better quilter thanks to some of the tips. I have also gotten great feedback (not all I really wanted to hear at the time  ) on the PDA. This board sports the best of the best.

Grammie Sharon 01-02-2010 02:31 PM

I'lm not sure How I came upon this site but I'm so glad I did. It is the best for sharing and dreaminng about future projeects. Happy New Year.

mrsjdt 01-02-2010 10:02 PM

Have to add my thanks to the group. Unlike most people who have an expertise in something (like bakers who won't share their family recipe) all of you share your knowledge. I've only been reading, but am gathering the confidence that I can piece a quilt. Have only done embroidery on a large piece of fabric and then one-pieced the back and tied them (my Aunt, aged 74, says: That is a comforter NOT a quilt)soooo, I've never made a quilt. But I will!!!!!

xraytechluvs2quilt 01-02-2010 10:51 PM

This is great site and so many people with alot of knowledge and infomation. It's addicting isn't it??

Di 01-03-2010 01:17 PM

I agree. This is THE best spot to go for help. The quilters on here are so friendly and willing to help. Thanks for being there and giving me something to look forward to. I always leave here with a smile, because I know I'm not alone in whatever I'm going through (good and bad).

Jingle 01-03-2010 01:51 PM

It is always good to share knowledge with others and to gain knowledge from others. I spend way too much time exploring this site. I like to learn what I can. Most of what I know came from trial and error. This is the best quilt site I have found.

Linda Gill 01-10-2010 11:02 AM

The same with me I love this quilt forum. I am always telling friends about what I have learned on here. Thank you so much.

stitchhappy 04-12-2010 08:47 AM

Charity Quilter: about the smiley faces. I tried but I can't get them to go into my note. Like: I get  instead of the picture. Help!

stitchhappy 04-12-2010 08:48 AM

Never mind! It worked.
