.......I joined the board six months ago now....and I simply wanted to say a huge Thank You....In the past six months I have made more quilts than ever in my life. I have discovered more new patterns than I realized ever exsisted. I have mastered techniques that I had only ever read and dreamt of, and I have had so many questions answered and even bought a new machine following advice.
I have found fellow quilters living right on my doorstep here in the UK and made friends in other countries.
When I can't sleep....someone is always on line for a chat.
This is a really special forum....so thank you to everyone, but perhaps especially to all the admin people who keep everything ticking along. I am so glad that I found the board.

And I'm so glad we have YOU!! I love our International friends :)

I love this forum and I have found so many neat things. Without everyone here I dont think I would be a quilter lol at least not that the skill level I am at lol

I love it here, there is so much to learn, so many patterns and ideas. Love looking at everyones beautiful work.

Thanks for your comments. I completely agree. I have bookmarked so many web sites of quilt patterns and projects that I will be quilting when I'm 100 years old!

Not knocking guilds, but working full time and everything else in my life I don't have time for things like that. I feel like this board gives me what I think many people seek from guild or quilting group memberships. I know there are many on here that also belong to local groups,but for those of us that don't have a place for that in our lives or the local groups aren't a good fit this Board is our Guild/Group/whatever you want to call it. I learn something every time I log on, have found links I never would have on my own, am encouraged, have the opportunity to be an encourager, laugh, cry--it fulfills a multiple of needs for me! Thanks!

I so agree with you. I've been trying to get all of my quilting friends to join. Some are lurking, some aren't sure. Maybe I need tone down my "sales pitch" - I may be scareing them! : ) Every morning I have to get my "fix" for the day, but, if there are lots of postings, I sometimes lose a goodly part of my day at the computer.Oh, well,it is time well spent with GOOD PEOPLE!Thanks QB!
