Thank you!
While reading this board for about 3 months, I learned about Janome machines. I asked your advice about a month ago and after more research, I bought a Janome 7700 2 weeks ago so that I could begin FMQ. I'm having a blast with the larger work area and the decorative stitches. My first FMQ is ok, I won't be embarrassed to give my granddaughter her first quilt from me. In fact, it is the first quilt I have ever made, although I have sewn for years. I've done block of the month at my local quilt shop for 3 years and finally ventured out on my own and pieced an entire quilt from a pattern I found in a magazine, borders and all. My last step is the binding. You all have given me techniques, lessons, and recommended a wonderful machine. I love looking at your beautiful quilts! Happy Holidays everyone!

hope you love your 7700 like I love mine

So far, I am enjoying it very much. It has not been at all difficult to learn to use. I will still use my Bernina for quilt piecing because it sews a perfect 1/4 inch seam, but the Janome has been a wonderful addition! I need a larger sewing room :)

Good for you, sounds like you are very happy with it.

You sound as if you have joined us on the DARKSIDE. No idea what it means but enjoy yourself.

Congratulations! You have a really great machine! Enjoy and take good care of her.

I'm living proof that you can get a consistent 1/4" seam (or even a scant 1/4 inch seam) on a Janome without a lot of trouble. It just takes a little futzing and checking your sizing. LOVE, love, love my Janome.
