Thank you

I have finally got my shoulders back where they belong, they have been up to my ears for the last few days, while I was quilting. I followed the suggestion to go all the same directions and feel I did a pretty good job. Here is the story. last year My great grand daughter wanted to sew. I got some 21/2 squares out for her and showed her how to make a four patch. She brought them out to show me and wanted to make a quilt for her bff, also her cousin. I told her we could but it would take a lot of patches, she had not mentioned this since last November so I thought she was out of the sewing mood she went home and counted. She had 100. We set them on point, added slashing, and ended up with a queen size quilt. Now all we have to do is sew the binding down and it will be ready for the November birthday. Thank you for the advice. Audree(11) and GG (not telling) I forgot to tell you all the patches were sewn by hand and she locked every thread. Do you think we have a new quilter?

!!! Yes we have a new quilter & thanks to your for your encouragement & help in getting her started on a new journey. Will we get to see a picture of her & the new quilt? I'm so very, very proud of her & how she stuck with what she wanted to do.

Wow! Yes we do! I hope you send us a picture. I know you are so proud of her. I certainly am. My DGD made a quilt at that age..now 14 she is way to busy with school, sports and friends but she knows how to sew and I suspect she will sew again inyears to come. Fingers crossed!

Sounds like a new quilter to me. Keep encouraging her and she will become a leader of the next generation of quilters.

I think that is fantastic that the quilting world has a new member.

What a great story. This little girl will go far in life because she will set a goal and work hard to achieve it!
