I posted a request for help, and I've had a nice response and I just wanted to say thank you.

I asked for 2" scraps, for any size/colors yo yos, and crown royal bags, and cancer theme /ribbon fabrics. These yo yos, bags and cancer theme fabrics will be put into charity quilts. I have many patterns, always looking for new ideas too. I also do mach. embroidery projects for fund raising. I make for all color ribbons for all cancers. We've had 4 cancers touch my immediate family, and lost a son to Leukemia, so this is my 'mission' to help raise awareness, research & a cure.

I so appreciate donations, as there is still cost for batting, backing, thread, time/work in piecing and quilting the projects involved. So all the help I get is very wonderful.
The CR bags will be a diff. choice, but I'm told, should probably bring more at the Am Cancer Soc, auction or raffle, than the other cancer quilts, because it's not only beautiful but unusual.

One idea I wanted to share, I saw Bargello in a ribbon pattern, if this was done in pink (because pink for breast cancer is the media attention right now), it be stunning, and be a good item for a cancer donation fund raiser.
Everyone, it's so important to be checked for all types of cancers, don't take things lightly...my son was dismissed when he tried to explain symptoms, he collapsed with 365,000 white blood count, and given 1 month to live, he survived 9 months of torture agressive violent form of Leukemia. Don't let a doctor dismiss if you are not feeling right..get a second opinion.

And again, thank you so much to everyone who's contacted me PM, and offered donations of these items to help me. It is never enough/finished, as I will continue to quilt toward this cause.

I agree absolutely. My sister was also blown away when she complained to the doctor about being tired and bruising and feeling bad. He kept giving her iron pills and wanted to refer her to a woman's place for abused women. She wasn't abused at all. She was a meticulous housekeeper but when another sister and I saw her messy place because she was too tired to clean, we forced her to another doctor, far too late.

If your doctor doesn't listen to you and you feel there is something wrong in spite of what he/she says, go to another one. And get blood tests.

My sister went to the doctor because of excruciating pain in her side. She was lucky (if you can call it that) as they admitted her to the hospital and ran tests. They found it was malignant melanoma and three months later she was gone. Cancer is a very serious disease and one that takes our loved ones way too fast and often with way too much pain. I am very happy to help out with this cause.
