Themed ampler Quilts

Browsing around for blocks for a butterfly sampler quilt; a self-imposed block-of-the-week project. Which got me wondering about other themed samplers. . . I see lots of star sampler quilts but I was wondering about other specific samplers like, instead of 'animals', maybe a specific animal like bunnies, or dogs, or cats,. Or cups/mugs. Or trees. There are lots of flower samplers but what about a specific flower like all roses? How about pics of your themed sampler quilt? Thanks!

Both of these are as cute as can be. And neither terribly complicates.

Love your quilts. Were these PP patterns by any chance, and if so where did you get them? Thanks

Thank you for the link. The patterns and pics there is getting me excited about starting blocks, each of a different pattern. Some patterns may have to purchase but appear to be very reasonably priced.

I have a lot of antique hankies that I would like one day to use making butterflies.

I love this quilt and plan to use the pattern for one of the blocks in my butterfly sampler quilt. I would, ideally, like to have all different block patterns but imagine I will have to have some duplicates; maybe two of each pattern.

I like your butterflies #1 is my favorite.

This quilter shaped the hankies into a couple of different butterfly shapes. Oh, and to think I did not gather up my moms hankie collection when she passed. Sigh. (Hope you show us your hankie quilt squares when complete.)

I'd love to see a hanky sampler as I also have lots of hankies from my mom and grandmother.

Love the projects shown on the Pinterest page. I have thought about using my old hankies as a window treatment of some sort but our sunlight is so strong here in FL that I'm afraid they would bleach out in now time and be ruined.

I did a cat quilt for my granddaughter a few years ago with the cats in different poses and some of the pictures spilling outside the frame of the blocks. Unfortunately, I didn't take a picture before I gave it to her. All of the cats came from coloring book pages on line that I modified and re-sized to fit the blocks and I kept the outlines to simple silhouettes to make the applique go faster. I fused the cats with windowed fusible and then button-hole stitched the cats down. The only tricky part was where bits of the cats had to be outside the block itself.
