Is there a pattern name for this?

I've seen this or similar patterns a few times recently but there was never pattern info given. i drew this in my EQ and am hoping to give proper credit. i love the secondary pattern of the squares on point [it helps to squint a little to see it]

Patches & Pinwheels but often the pinwheels on alternate rows spin the other way.

I did turn the pinwheels the other way and the pattern shows up much better!

I see so many creative posts by those who have the EQ7...I am really considering buying one. Your Patches and pinwheels gives me a great idea with my 2 1/2 inch blocks. I was going to make another scrappy Arkansas Crossroads but I like the pinwheel effect. Now I'll just have to figure out how to get a 9 1/2 inch (unfinished) pinwheel block to marry my 16 piece blocks. QuiltnNan, thanks for your post.

Cut your squares 5 1/2 inches to make the half squares to be 5 inches will give you a 9 1/2 inch unfinished pinwheel. Here's a free tutorial. https://s3.amazonaws.com/Block-Libra...ck+Pattern.pdf |
