Is there an Quilt App for quilts?

Alright yesterday while working on my donation baby quilts I started thinking how big I needed my quilt to be I'm not really someone that measures I just lay the blocks out and see if its big enough. But now I'm trying to make things a little easier I was wondering if there was a app or software that can help me determine how big a quilt will be. Like right know I'm doing a 10 block quilt but I can't decide if that is going to be too big or not. Should I put two per-row or three and separate it into 2 quilts? I really need your thoughts.

I have one called quilt calc by Robert Kaufman. And another by Jenny Doan that has her MSQC videos. I don't use the first one much, but I visit the MSQC one a lot.

I have Quilt Calc by Robert Kaufman, you might also look at Block tool, BlockFab and QuiltFab.

I'm not sure what you are expecting a quilt app to tell you? If you don't measure your blocks how will you know if they match up to the information on the app?

I use www.mywebquilter.com

I mostly go to Pinterest and search for whatever is on my mind. It's just loaded with specific details.

I use quilt calc all the time. BLock Fab HD is a great ap. You can tailor your blocks to any size and they tell you how to cut it and shows you combinations in colors ways you pick out.

quilt calc is very good. I use it all the time. Especially when writing my own patterns. I also use EQ7. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE both of them.

I have 2 friends--one with quilt calc, the other with EQ6. They use neither. Why? They don't want to take the time to learn how to use them. But I don't think that's it. As a person whose worked with computers and a lot of users, I find there are some who get frustrated with manuals and don't want to read them. They'd rather be shown.

So my conclusion, is that if you don't mind reading and taking the time to learn the software, then these two will solve all your problems. And you'll find your work from size decisions to the actual quilt will be faster. However, if you're not up to that, these two are not for you.

My two friends from above use a phone app. I think it's QuiltFab.
