It does not look to be a diamond. I don't believe the solution is to " square up". It appears to be too far off. How did you construct it. Describe and perhaps someone will be able to give good advice. Error could be in either or both cutting and piecing.

Look for the "Spinning Diamonds with Kaye Wood" tutorial on You Tube to see how to make your intersections match.
It's brilliant! She is making a 60 degree diamond top but the seam matching for a Lone Star (45 degree diamond) would be the same technique.
Note that when sewing strips together we do not line up the seam line's stitches at THE CUT EDGE of the fabrics. (If we do that all the intersections will be off by roughly 1/4".) Learned that detail YEARS ago when I was making my first Lone Star without a pattern. Yes, I must do it the hard way! LOL.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful and blessed Christmas. I'm doing an pieced diamond pattern. Is there a tutorial on how to trim the blocks. I think I have an idea on how but I want to be sure before I do it. I did you tube but they only show piecing it.
Thank you

Send a PM to DUNSTER on this QB…….she is, IMHO, the queen of these types of blocks (altho hers are diamond square log cabins, they are very similar)……..She is a wonderful teacher.
