I made this block and noticed that one of the points (center left) will get caught in the seam allowance.

Does anyone have any suggestions for fixing it? The only thing I can think of is to redo the left hand third of the block.

Sorry - No. If you sew it the way it is now, you will lose the point. Hope you don't mind me saying but the yellow star point on the right will force you to do a really scant seam allowance. Can you just consider this a trial block and start again with the next one? That's what I do.

Are you going to look at the quilt from 6 inches away? Will everybody else? A missing point or two really isn't all that big of a deal. Especially after you quilt it and wash it.

I agree with your comment too....it's lovely, and it's your work.

Hon, have you measured all of your other points? I agree with MadQuilter, it looks like you will lose at least one more.

If you stand back a few feet from this block in a quilt, how noticeable will it be? Is it worth taking a whole block apart and redoing it? I may just let it go  Or like MadQuilter said, starting over may be easier :D:D:D

I think I would not take it apart, but rather try to resew the bottom horizontal seam with a wider allowance. That way I could do at least some type of very tiny seam allowance to get the point. I also pin and mark where my points are, so I could make the one on the right turn out fine. Hmm, I wonder why I do this and my blocks aren't rectangles... lol :D

I've seen where many say this. If your on a galloping horse would you be able to notice the missing points. Probably not.

I wouldnt worry about it, then again I dont own a seam ripper. I think of everything I do as a work in progress.

I'm sorry but I personally wouldn't worry about it. Beautiful block.
