I am not a fabric snob, but I recently tossed some fabric that just felt to flimsy to hold up. If I put the effort into the project, I want it to last. Can't really comment on interfacing. If you question it, then I'd say go with your instincts.

Thanks for all your input. I think that's what I knew all along. I'm sorry my DIL spent money on it but I'd rather be safe. Thanks again.

When in doubt,
leave it out.

I agree. I would not use it. It would be a shame to spend all that time on creating something beautiful to have it fall apart after washing.

I just got rid of all my fabric that was either too thin or ugly to use. I decided to send it over to made into charity quilts.
I hesitate on using thin, now I just put it aside and get rid of it. It feels so good. Part of my D-junking my closets. If I have a lot, I will make charity quilts out of thinner fabrics.

I wouldn't use it, wouldn't even think about it really.

I put all my questionable fabrics into crocheted items or the clothesline baskets. If you really want to include the fabric in some way, use a piece of it for an applique or a label. Both are applied to the surface of the quilt and can be removed later if they deteriorate...and they will.

I love this saying! I will do my best to remember this.

And I do agree with this post. Better to make a tough decision now than regret not making it later on!

shrink it well in HOT water..then fuse with a light weight/sheer interfacing...it will be just fine!

I am a firm believer in using only quality fabric in my quilts.
