Ok Ladies, do you have a signature color, stitch or something that you always add to each of your quilts or quilt blocks. I know some people always use a patch of black or some other color or is it a stitch or just something of any kind that you call your signature. When quilting with my long arm I have a signature swirl that alway use someplace on the quilt. I don't have a color or anything else but I'm thinking about addind an unexpected color someplace in the quilt. What about you?

sounds like a good idea, kinda makes it hard to steal a quilt and call it your own. and here I thought labels were a good idea. You gals are great!

Some where on every FMQ I do is a tiny little heart. Thats all!
My grandkids all look for the heart when they get a quilt from me. |
I too put a heart on most all of my creations somewhere. Either in the quilting or the lable or just in a corner.

I do a little special quilt stitch, according to who I am giving it to...something simple, yet the person knows it is there...

When I have done block exchanges, whether here on the board or with the ladies from church, I try to bring in some purple somewhere, if even only a touch.

Never thought to...

I have those little I Love you labels that I ALWAYS forget to put in the main label or the back. Thanks for the reminder! :-)

Silly girl, I'll bet the boo boo's aren't as bad as you think they are.

When I've pieced a special top, before batting and quilting it, I write my name and the quilt's name on a seam allowance in a lower corner block with pigma pen. You can't see it, but I know it's there. This is really more to identify my quilt if the need ever arose, as I've had one stolen before.

Yes A mistake some where. usely not pland, but some how seam to always find one after the quilt is done.

I have begun to machine embroidery my name and date right on to the backing of the quilt using the same color thread as the fabric before attaching it to the quilt.
Once the quilt is quilted it stitches over the name (but does not cover it). If you glance at the back of the quilt it is not noticable until you study it closer. I also add a regular type label. Easy to see. |
