O.K. ladies, I don't know what there called. But I looking for a pattern for the thing that sits by your sewing machine that you throw your scraps in. The little basket that hangs down.

You want something other than just throwing them on the floor, I'm guessing?

I make them all the time. PM me if you need any help. :)

LOL. I was just tossing the thread bits on the floor until I noticed my cat chewing on them. Seems he developed a passion for thread. So, i got one of the thread catchers with a nice big handy pin cushion on it. Then one day I noticed half my pins were missing from the cushion and they were all over the floor. So I figured my granddaughter had been playing with them. I took her home earlier that day, so I merely gathered up the pins and stuck them back in...
the next morning, they were pulled out again! Finally I caught my cat pulling the pins out and playing with them! Scared me to think he was trying to eat them! (sometimes he isn't all that bright...). So now the thread catcher is delegated to the "no cat allowed" fabric room and if I sew upstairs, I am careful to remove pins from his reach.
he still tries to grab them and run off with them..
