thread choice

Anyone have any ideas for what color of thread to use on a black, white and bright colors. Would like to do an all over quilting. When I look in magazines they look beautiful, and not a lot of color on any certain color of the fabric. How do they do this?

How about a rainbow variegated?

I'd audition the black and white thread. Personally I hate invisible thread.

I'm a variegated fan too!

Audition your threads .... pull off a few yards of thread from each spool, and let them just kind of fall on your quilt, to somewhat stimulating rows your quilting. It'll give you a good idea as to how a thread works .... or does not work with a quilt. Just as in fabric auditioning, you'll get some surprises as to what is right and what is not!

I always pick the brains of those at the LQS - they give me so much advise about what to look for in a color for the top.
