Does anyone know of a use for empty thread cones? I have a box full, can't seem to throw them away, but I have no use for them.

anyone doing hand crafts for children (and perhaps adults) could probably use them. Call your local schools or Sr Center. I have seen Christmas trees made from them. Am sure there are other tings as well. Check with churches for Vacation Bible School crafts.

And don't forget day cares...my Daughter's Kinder Care has a very creative director and I am sure would come up with something fun for sure =D

I used them as a base for an angel. Glued lace around the cone, added a wooden ball for head and did wings and halo.

the local boy scouts, the senior center, public school art department...all of these and more happily accept donations of such fun items. :thumbup:

I've seen a pretty necklace made with spools. Instead of thread, the wrapped them with material that was striped.
