Thread Heaven - Thread Conditioner

It appears to be discontinued - and not available in stores any more.

When advertised, it seems to be quite expensive - $21.85 per unit - and waaaaay up!!!!

Is there a comparable substitute - that sells for $10.00 or less?

I think when Thread Heaven came out, it was less than $10.00 for a unit.

A couple of interesting articles about "thread conditioning"

I use Thread Magic, around $8 on Amazon or you can use beeswax for around $3.

I found one at Amazon for almost 50.00. That's insane!! I use it when I'm sewing bindings by hand. Love the stuff. Luckily I still have almost a full container so it'll be awhile before I need to think about it. I've tried straight bees wax and hated it.

Thread Magic is fine. I can't tell any difference from it to Thread Heaven.

I actually like the packaging for Thread Magic better. The little grooves on the sides kind of “seat” the theead into the condition.

I use a piece of bees wax, given to me by a friend who has bee hives. No charge!

I recently bought it at Joann's very cheaply with the 50% discount coupon. It is now in a new container and called thread magic that is why you can't find it.

I mostly use beeswax, (like this: https://www.amazon.com/Dritz-3153-Be...SIN=B001UADAQK ),

but you can still get Thread Heaven here: ($7.89 right now),

scroll down a wee bit
