Do you prefer to quilt with colours or with plain colours like grey/beige?

I piece with neutral beiges and grays usually. I try to match threads when machine quilting on my domestic machine.

I use all colors...according to the fabric colors anyways! :-D

I nearly always use a neutral thread or a matching thread on deeper colors. Just my choice and favorite look.

I use all colors, too...whichever the fabric seems to "call for"...

it depends on the quilt- often i use a complimentary color= sometimes colors that blend in- sometimes a neutral- not so often though-
i love the look varigated threads add sometimes.

I use the "natural" color thread on most of my projects, which is a beige color. If it's a quilt with lots of black or brights then I switch it up to match. I just did a black quilt with brights and used purple thread.

I love to use the varigated colors for quilting...otherwise a neutral color that blends with most of the colors in the quilt. I don't like too high of a contrast of thread color with the fabrics in the quilt. Just my preference, but I have seen some gorgeous quilting done with contrasting thread.

I hand quilt - and my current project has me using a light grey - I LOVE it!!! The fabrics are that 1980s mauve pink and wedgewood/country blue. The grey is perfect!!

I have a ton of neutrals and I'm trying to use them up and then I will color match with the material.

I use a blendable thread. Beige, gray etc.

I hand quilt. On quilts with a white background I use white. On other quilts I use an off-white, natural color. I make more traditional quilts so I seldom use very dark colors.

I use all colors too, depending on fabrics. I always use cotton thread.

I hand quilt as well. Depends on the quilt but most times I used colored thread to have it show more in the quilt. It's usually a coordinating color but I figure if I'm putting that much work into something I want it to be seen!
