Tied charity quilts

I have made a couple of quilts for Quilts for Kids, and they need them to be machine quilted. Does anyone know of an organization that will accept tied quilts?

Our local Salvation Army takes them. Also, check with your local police/fire department because they may give them to children in distress.

Maybe take them to a women's shelter.

Instead of tying them, I "tack" them in corners of blocks or However the batting needs to be quilted. 've had very good luck with that.

See of Project Linus will take them. Check with a local senior citizens home. Delta's suggestion above is a good one, check with a local quilt guild, or maybe a quilt shop, for suggestions.

Shriners Hospital for Children gave my daughter several tied quilts thru her years and many surgeries there..They have hospitals all over the US. I know for a fact the kids love them and they provide comfort for them thru the stressful times

Check for your local chapter of Project Linus. Here's the national website (recently updated):

I quit tying them for kids,
when my first grandson choked on one I'd made for him, he was ok but I learned my lesson. Seniors in nursing homes love to get lap blankets, Hospice also.
