We finally picked up my Tin Lizzie yesterday. It took three hours just putting the frame together last night, and we both decided to call it quits for the day. Got up bright and early this morning (4:50am) and started again around 6:30, assembling all the thousands of little pieces. We finally finished putting everything together at 1:30. So about 8.5 - 9hrs total in setup. I loaded a practice piece on her, and started playing...she runs as smooth as butter. I still have to hang pictures and what not in this room, but, at least you can see my new baby! I'm sure there will be many, many hours spent with this little lovely!

Looks good. I have the same machine and frame. There are a few things I had to "rig" up to keep the cords from hanging up in the back. There is a spring that the cords travel in on the back and the center brace on the frame catches the cord when you travel from left to right. I'd be sewing along and suddenly feel a drag. I just taped a cardboard over it so it didn't catch on the thing you tighten the frame down with. Good luck with her. I love mine. Also I have a word doc that I got from some one that really helps with tension problems. If you want a copy PM me.

Sweet! You will love her, I just had to relax and become one. LOL I did have the same problem as Deb, drives me crazy. I would also check every so often to make sure all is well. I just finish my king size panda quilt my first one on Tin Lizzy and for some reason I would get eye lashes half way though a row????? So I spend some time tearing it out (not fun!) It was the strangest thing. I would be going along just fine got to the end and went to roll it up and saw all this green eyelashes on the back of the quilt.
Crazy have fun and good luck!
