I too have a Viking Mega Quilter 18, made by Tin Lizzie. For a while Viking was very good about sending it for repairs to the factory in Tennessee, for 3 months at a time, but management has changed and they claim there is no problem with it. Four times in the factory and it still goes crazy after a half hour of quilting. I have been told by dealers that this is an inherrant problem with Tin Lizzie's. Right now the machine sits unused in a spare room till I can find someone who needs a boat anchor. I now have a HQ Avante with pro-stitcher, and absolutely love it. And support is just a phone call away. And I might add that I tried to trade the Viking in, no dealer wants it.

Same here. I tried many different brands before buying mine. Tech support is available 24/7 by phone and most of it can be done by phone.
