My TL just arrived and I'm waiting for the rep to show me how to set the tension and cut the leader strips and such. I watched the video which recommended King Tut thread on top and it sounded like Superior Threads "Sulfite" on the bottom. Knowing this probably wasn't right, I checked out ST website and found "So Fine" which makes more sense. But that's a polyester thread. So I'm wondering what everyone else uses.... thanks!

My Lizzie seams to like poly or poly cotton blends best on top and bottom have tryed 100% cotton but have many tension problems at one point had new needle , cleaned everything, encluding tension disk, double checked how threaded, after rethreaded, tension so loose had a rats nest on bottom and thread still snaped. changed thread to Poly blend tightened tencion and works great.I do not show my quilts just do them for myself have had no problems so far with quilts comming apart or excess wear on fabric.

I use cotton on top and the same for the bobbin.

lots of machine quilters use poly threads...they work fine.

My Lizzie is happiest with King Tut on top and So Fine on the bottom. So that's what I feed her.

So far I have been using only King Tut, top and bobbin. I haven't gained enough confidence yet to try and experiment. The rep said King Tut and that is what she gets...for now!
