Most everyone upgrades from a Tin Lizzie because they are entry level machines. I had one for 2 years ( it rarely worked) I not only out grew the machine I had reoccurring encoder problems with out any company support in getting them repaired

I don't have one but I wouldn't buy one. Never heard anything good about them.

My Tin Lizzie is an older model and I've had it for many years. I love it. There is the problem with the encoders for the stitch length regulator, they slip out, but I don't need it. Someday I will get new attachments for the encoders, if/when I have to get repairs. So far I've never needed repairs.

For what it's worth, my friend has the Ainsley and uses it in her long arm business. She's had it for about three years and has had very few problems with it. The stitching is beautiful.

She bought it from a local dealer and that has made a big difference.

I can't speak to the Aynsley or the Shirley Stitcher, but I have a Tin Lizzie 18LS and love it. The stitching is beautiful and I have not had any issues with the machine. I believe that it is good value for my money.
