A Tip for Creased Batting
 

If you have some stubborn creased batting, try to spray a mixture of water and
vinegar. The creases disappear almost instantly. I've used it on Warm and Natural.
That's mostly what I use. Don't know about poly.
I spray then iron with a cloth in between. If it's for a bed quilt I would probably
throw it in the dryer after spraying.
I saw this tip here for using water/vinegar on fabric and thought why not try it
on batting and it works.

I usually always put mine in the dryer

I just throw it in the dryer with a damp towel. It comes out beautiful.

I use a little vinegar in my iron (Steam generator holds 32 oz.). I fill it almost up and add about a 1/4 cup of white vinegar. It just seems to me that wrinkles just disappear. And no it does not smell like a salad.

Though that leads me to a question .... if it's going to be in the quilt sandwich, and you smooth it out with your hands against the table as you are making the sandwich .... does it really matter?

I read somewhere, (probably on here) to just lay it out overnite. That's what I do now. works......and who sees it anyway.

Probably not. Maybe I'm just obsessed with creases. LOL

I think the creases matter. I make a lot of Linus quilts and I purchase the ten yard rolls of batting that Joann's sells for that purpose. They are rolled on a carboard tube. What irks me is that about halfway through they always have a huge folded ridge in the middle because they are stored vertically. Even if I lay them out on my ping pong table for days it doesn't go away. Since I like to cut out and baste two or three at a time when I am in production mode this slows down my work. Since it is a ten yard roll of batting it is a little big to put in the dryer. I manage but I wish there was another way to get that much batting without it being rolled.
