Tip to save your ironing surface
I read this tip just recently and thought it was worth passing along. If foundation or paper piecing, ironing over the ink may spread the ink to your ironing surface. To avoid this, iron a piece of freezer paper to the ironing surface first

I never thought of that. Thank you!!

Thanks, that is a good advice!

ok, great tip! but i have a question, does anyone else have a difficult time finding freezer paper? we live in a small town, and even walmart doesn't have it. but if you go into a store like kroger in a much larger town, you have a better chance of finding it.

You might be able to get some from the meat dept. if you live in a small town with a butcher shop area in the grocery store. Wal-Mart is a hit and miss in our area too.
|
You can only get it in Quilt Shops or at shows in the U.K. I always come home with loads when I can get it.
