Okay, got that figured out!
Will this fabric work, it has a 12 inch repeat and if it will, should I use a black mottled back ground? I've been checking Hancocks of Paducah for the background as I need to order another fabric from them. What do you think? Not a problem if it's wrong, I'll find something else, picked this because I thought my DGG would love the peaches and oranges! |

Yes just pic the halves together, otherwise you end up with a bunch of y seams when you put it together,
the fabric is great! I am not sure about what you need in a background fabric? |
Not sure what you mean by that, but I will reread all of your directions before I start.
When I get the hexagons cut out, do I attach a fabric to each piece to, before I sew them together, so that I can eventually cut the block square? Or am I really not understanding this and making it too hard? |
The blocks never go square, they stay as a hexagon, there is no background fabric, the main part of the quilt is made from only one piece of fabric usually.

Cutebuns, okay, I see where I got it wrong! I'm remembering too much of a stack and whack book I was looking at a while back! LOL Remember the conversation we had about patience? You must have a world's supply!

Ask my kids, I don't have that much patience,
|
Yes, I see that now! I am printing off your directions, as I said I've mixed it up with a stack and whack book that I was looking at! Tomorrow morning I will review your directions (after my fist cup of coffee). I'll check in tomorrow! Have a great night and thank you so much for all of your help! You are a gem!
