When I decide what I am going to use in my center I spread them like this for ease of picking up the pieces, I leave the point up and move it to the right, under the arm of the machine until I am ready for it again

I sew two by two and stack the remaining pieces on the right, keeping the centers pointed up, everything is kept in order this way, I don't cut the pieces off,

(this is for when you are ready to move froward from doing one block at a time)

I cut them apart, starting with the first one that I put together and leave it on top, I stack everything to the bottom, so when I press, the first ones are on the bottom of the pile, just like the pieces that are left to put on,

For now I had better stick with just one block at a time, I have progressed to doing 2 piece strip piecing for now.

I need need need an extension table for my machine. I might see if Hubb's can make me one.

I would get lost for sure doing them two by two. I want to get this one block by block, next time MAYBE.

it is okay if you don't want to try more than one block at a time for the time being, though I will warn it is a lot faster, my mom after helping me with the last one I did is still on with one block and auditioning more of them, some days you have to do it the way it works for you, when you are more comfy you may give it a try, you use less thread chaining them as well,

I also love my extension table, it is either that or have it in a table, make sure that what ever it is on is at the right hight, I made the table that it is sitting on and it is about three inches shorter than a kitchen table so it is the right height to work on, I leave my extension on all the time unless I am doing sleeves or other sewing that requires the open arm,

I also have a few more blocks done.

I think it is earl grey that I am sipping on today, though I also have a thing for vanilla, there are a few that I love, Lady grey, Monks blend, earl grey, vanilla, and variations of them, some come in green tea, depends on my mood, and what I have, there is a really cute little tea shop in Edmonton that has loose leaf (though this is bag) that is so much better, and it isn't that much more, I need to get my tea pot fixed, I usually just brew a full pot in a coffee maker, it works well,

Ok I graduated to 4 blocks at a time, I did make sure each one was totally different, I stacked them left to right and then pieced each block 2 at a time then only cut off the 1st 2 (same block) then stacked the right other piece to them 2 then cut off the next 2.........and so on. And yes it is much much faster to strip sew. Only about 38 more blocks to go. Are we going to know how to put this together today or will that be next monday?
