I would use one of your half hexs as a template and add in the black with them... I think that would be easier than trying to sew in hexagons. You could cut some of them in half to use on the ends.

I am going with black to fill and I am using 3.5 in stris because that was the width of my hexes, hope this works

Ok Cute I have started to try and sew my strips but when I get them together they are all crooked what am I doing wrong ??

I will need to see a picture. Best guess without seeing would be that you are not lining them up quite right.

How is everyone quilting their quilt? Mine is still waiting for an inspiration to thwack me on the head so I can begin - it is on my frame ready to go.

My suggestion is to keep it simple. There are so many seams and the print of the fabric is what you really want to focus on, so prob. a large meander is what most folks do. I've also done a large fmq feather.

I had the same problem, I started sewing a few of the blocks a scant 1/4" and then a bunch at 1/4" without thinking :roll:

I didn't press after sewing together because I could already see they werent straight, but my halves are
