tips 4 looking at quilt bottom while sewing
hey fellow quilters,I have had a tuff time looking at how my stitches look underneath.I`ve found that a hand mirror and a small flashlight work like a dream!Just lay the mirror on your table and shine the flashlite on it,bingo your stitches show up without paying for those exspensive 2 way camaras.

Great tip! One of those "duh" jobs that you just don't think of yourself. Thanks for sharing it.

2 way camera? I've not come across that idea before! But great idea with the lighted mirror x

I got 2 of those door mirrors on sale for $2.00 each, lined them up end to end on my frame table and they work out great!

thanks, I have a long mirror and wasn't happy with the results...will try the flashlight

At the auto parts store you should be able to find a mirror on an extending handle. That is what I use when trying to see my bobbin stitches. Works great!

I just slide my fingertips under...very lightly...you can feel a good understitch as opposed to " oops"....

What a fantastic idea. I have developed pretty sensitive fingers to feel the stitches, buy my biggest clue is still how the machine sounds. I know the sound of my machine when it is running well, and not so well.
