Getting ready to write up tips and hints on my web site.
Any suggestions? What are some tricks or things that you have found out since quilting that you would like to share? Anything for the beginner to the advanced quilter will be appreciated These need to be with your Permission to add them to my web site. Thanks Phyllis Quilter's Pantry |

Such as tools needed, techniques used, fabrics to use/not use, bandaids a MUST etc... Serious as well as humorous but true. ;) |
Hi, A quilting tip that was past on in our guild: keep a peice of flannel on your ironing board. Your seams will lay flatter when ironing. It really works.

I read a quote in AARP magazine attributed to Sompong Sombati. "Allow yourself to truly play at your hobbies, without worrying about results." I find that to be truly freeing when I want to play around. I don't know if you can put it on your website or not.

i know alot of people prefer to have their ironing board next to their sewing machine, but i put mine so i have to get up and walk to it. otherwise, if you don't get up once in a while you will become stiff. it's good to stretch a bit. some of us sew from sun-up til sun-down when allowed!

always pre wash, not only does it remove the nasty chemicals, it means you are ready to sew when you pull it out!
