Titan 21 or Q'nique 21"

Does anyone own one of these or has at least tried them? After seeing the ads for them last year my interest was piqued but have not heard or seen anything since. I've tried the Q'nique 14+ and really liked the feel of it. I tried it so I could cross it off the list. I went in to the LQS knowing I would hate it. Boy was I surprised. 21" sounds way better! LQS does not have it. :(

They are the same machine--made by the Grace Company and branded differently. I have the BlockRockiT, which is the same as the Q'nique. Kathy Quilts developed the original BRI. I am very pleased with it and just added Quilt Motion to it. And I will add, both companies give great support. I am very pleased with the staff at Kathy Quilts.

Personally I would buy the Q'nique 21 in a heartbeat especially if it has all the elements of the 14+. I really loved my Q'nique I just haven't used her in a while but I hope to get back to her soon.

I tried several machines. Owned Viking mega quilter 9” for 9 years. Recently spent summer working on gammill classic. Knew I needed more work space and better carriage-to-stitch regulator accuracy. Dec. 2017 I chose qnique 14+ and grace continuum frame. The stitch mechanism does not sound like a posh Italia sport car engine, but Everything else about the machine and carriage is beyond excellent. The 21” qnique throat work space was not in my budget for floor space or cash. If you have space and budget get the 21” qnique!

I highly recommend this machine for those on a budget. It has excellent stitch regulation, thread tension is holding even from one project to another. I am not changing thread type, just color between prolects. Awesome reliability so far. I have quilted more in three months than in the last four years.

Good luck on your choice.

Aardy.

Count me in as a happy Q'nique 14+ owner. There were a couple issues initially, but they were speedily resolved by The Grace Factory. And I received my machine back within a week each time. The customer service and technical departments have been excellent whenever I have had a question. I love using my machine!

Can anyone tell me how much quilting space is on the Titan21 or Qnique21? If anyone has this machine is it worth getting the 2' extension? Is this a hobby machine or professional?

The 2’ extension depends on how large of quilts you want to do. You can do queen size on10 feet but need 12 feet for king size. I have 12 and am wishing I had 14 with this quilt. 21 means 21” harp. That is usually enough to do a 12 “ block on point, but there are other factors that affect that.

I get about 18 inches of usable quilting space, 17 if I am quilting a long quilt.
