I have a Tru Cut rotary blade sharpener and have been able to use the same blade for months, both the titanium and regular kind. It was well worth the investment.

I haven't used them but I have heard that titanium needles last longer so it stands to reason these blades might as well. It's worth a try when it may save money in the long run

is this blade sharper sold a Joanna's if not where did you find it?
