and many people will be flying the American flag. My husband served 31 years in the US Army. There is a large American flag flying from my front porch today. As long as we have soldiers serving anywhere in the world, that flag will fly. It stays up 24 hours with a light on it at night. God Bless America and all who bravely serve her!

I have a flag pole in my front yard. The American flag flies every day at my house.

We also fly our flag 24 hours a day. DH is a Navy man and we are very patriotic. He is big on respect for the flag and has even knocked on a neighbors door (while wearing his uniform) to ask them if they were in distress since their flag was backwards and flying under our local baseball team's flag! He knew the lady, but it was pretty funny. She fixed it right away since she didn't know that rule.

My hubby and father served...and as long as I have the freedom to fly our flag I will do so....

My flag flys everyday also my hubby (passed in 97) also served. God bless to all.

My flag flies everyday, too!! And then the first of July, I have a patriotic door ornament. I am very patriotic and love our Country very much. My BIL just retired military and both his sons are retired military. But I would do it regardless!!

ME TOO, ME TOO!!!! The Yardpole (with light) and porch flags fly all year round. Then starting at Memorial Day, I bring out everything red, white, and blue and decorate "everywhere". And it all stays out through June and July, for Flag Day, (June 14)and then of course Independence Day.

For those of you staying home today and tonight, don't forget your local PBS station for the Capitol 4th concert tonight. Always good music and lots of pomp and circumstance, with military honors. My favorite holiday of the year.
