I heard somewhere that she was a kindergartin teacher in her former life. Maybe old habits die hard.

That could be it. One day I showed one of her episodes to my 13yo DGD and she said. "OMG, she sounds just like our grade school principal.

I watch her on PBS at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday morning here.

I DVR all of the quilting shows on our PBS Create Channel, and on our regular PBS channel. I especially like Eleanor and Fons and Porter. I am going to have to delete some, my DVR storage is almost used up. Thanks for the links. Does Fons and Porters have a video library on-line that can be viewed as well?

I really enjoy El Burns shows. She is so very very generous...Some of the other quilting shows are not nearly as generous with pattern information as well as techniques.

I also record her and love to zip through the commericials! Also zip through the very beginning since my time to watch her is often limited. I tend to save an episode, if I can on quilts or techniques that I am interested in doing so I can refer to it later. I have learned many things from her program.
