Second of all -- scappy is great! M'Liss Rae Hawley has a few fat quarter books which have patterns specifically for fat quarters, with 1 fabric to tie it together -- usually in a boarder. Good Luck! When I first began quilting, I ordered from Quilter's Paradise when they had their Fat Quarter Frenzies - I didn't get to choose my FQs but they wound up being about a $1 each and I thought it a good way to build up some stash. There are quite a lot that I may never use as they aren't really my taste but I've used many in smaller projects and I'm really glad to have them. I think as I become more experienced I might find more ways to use them. |
Potholders, pincusions, wallets, table toppers, quilt patters that use fat quarters

I would say scrap quilts.
|
Pincushions of course, that's my hobby and I find the most colorful fabric is the best.

How can you have to many FQ's there's always a use for them
|
I just saw a pattern on Clothilde (sp?) for a variety of slippers made from fat quarters.

Turning twenty and yellow brick road are great fq quilts!!!

If you Google 'fat quarter yields' you will get a chart that tells how many squares can be cut from a Fq. Did you know there are 90 2" sq. In a FQ?
