Too many white triangles.

Well I did this carpenter star so so carefully counted cut pieces. Placed in order on wall. Put together in pairs then in rows.
As I was pressing found I had one too many white triangles. Don't you hate it when you have been soooooooo careful. Did fix it. |
If you only have one extra, your lucky. LOL I hate it when I don't have enough, or sew it backwards. I like your colors.

Glad you found it early on and yes, I have not seen mistakes till way late in game. Sometimes taking a picture helps but not always. Can't wait to see the whole thing :-)

Great colors and you found your error early on. I didn't see the error on my last quilt until it was quilted, bound and posted on this board!

Ladies it stood out like a sore thumb as I was ironing. And I had just one dark triangle left.

I'm looking forward to seeing this Carpenter's Star flat out ... and all finished! |
I don't mind having one too many. It was when I am one short and out of fabric that it makes me crazy.

Tartan, you hit the nail on the head. I hate when that happens. Another thing that I hate is counting pieces when there are thousands and loosing count. That happens to me all the time. I usually buy extra to avoid the first problem.

I do hate it when that happens. At least you discovered it when ironing. I got one star quilt totally quilted before I noticed a turned point. Good ol fusible and raw edge applique, fixed that puppy.

Glad you discovered it before it was quilted. Please do share pics of this, it's great!
