Tote / Toolbox suggestions, Please.
 

I have a situation where I will be leaving a machine (on a luggage cart) and all of my sewing supplies for my projects. I need to find something to keep my supplies in. Not necessarily fabrics, but cutting mats and tools, threads, pins, bobbins, etc. Pretty much a full kit. Two odd things that I will be keeping with the above mentioned stuff are a 15x18 glass cutting board and a hot knife.

I'm not worried about anyone bothering my things but I do want to be able to put everything into something and set it on the luggage cart along with the machine and put it away. Some partitions or drawers would be a sweet addition! Any ideas? It can be something not normally used for sewing.

Take a look at the tool bags at harbor freight.com. Several people have mentioned that they use the big bag for the
sewing machine. Your glass board might fit along with the machine. The other bag looks like it would be useful.

Is weight a consideration? If not, I might be tempted to attach a trunk (like the kids take to camp) on an inexpensive mover's type dolly. you could configure the interior however you want. Stands on end to store, lays down to open. Just a thought...

These come with wheels, too.

I have already been looking at dolly's and hand trucks. The machine weighs 50 pounds, not something you can just pick up and move, plus if I can load everything on a dolly it will be easier to pack up to store.

I don't have children or grandchildren what are the Camp Trunks? (I know - Google is my friend. Lol!)
