Thanks for the tip. It makes sense, and I'll definitely give it a try. Sewing long seams is not one of my favorite parts of quilting. No way around it, though, and anything that will give more accuracy is worth the extra effort to me.

Thanks for the tip, just when you think you know it all, you find you don.t! I pin every seam intersection.

One more idea, while this is a great one, i find that if you line up the center of the strips and the sew out from each center that can help too. If your center blocks are aligned, you don't notice the outside as much, but if the center is off that makes the whole quilt look off.
