I have an opportunity to purchase a treadle machine that has been converted to electric. Does anyone know if it can be undone and returned to a manual use machine? Any ideas or suggestions are welcome....thanks.

Am sure someone in the Vintage machine shop topic can help you; have you posted there?

Yes, it can. Go to the virtual machine section of the board.
Tons of info!!
I got a beautiful 15 that is electric and Billy told me I could drop it in a treadle cabinet, take off the motor, and it becomes a treadle!
I am on the look-out for the cabinet :)

No, but thats a great idea. Thank you

Very possible that it can be converted back to treadle. Re-post in the Vintage Machine thread & the experts there will most definitely be able to help you. If you have any pictures, please post them too.
