Probably a branded machine by one of the major sewing machine manufacturers at that time. National Sewing Machine Company, Eldridge Sewing Machine Company...there were a few who would put names on for private stores, etc. Do you have a picture? Any idea how old?
|
you might get the model number and check with singerco.com for its date of birth and it may show where it was made, 75 is not a bad price.
|
I was wondering if it was made by singer and they put differant names on machines. mkay

The price is good. I don't now anything about the brand, but if the machine works the brand doesn't really matter to me. Would love to see a pic if you decide to get it.
ETA: I found this link: http://www.friend-india.com/ Perhaps they made your machine? |
ask billy
lost51 go into the main section and there is a thread about vintage machines |
yes i do believe you might of found the link for me thank you so much mkay

To my knowledge, Singer did not "badge" machines for other retailers. The only "Singer" that I'm aware of that doesn't obviously say Singer, is the Spartan.
