Spread Crest gel toothpaste on the burn and you will not have a blister. I burned my hand yesterday, headed for the bathroom and the Crest toothpaste gel, today you would never know I had a burn. It must be Crest gel.

For instant relief and no blister use a slice of raw onion.

I keep a jar of Vitamin E capsules (with oil in them) in my refrigerator. Pierce the capsule with a pin and squeeze the oil on the burn. Takes the pain away almost instantly. Does the same for bee stings!

Tide powder laundry detergent. Make a bowl of water with tide . Enought tide to make the water feel slippery. Soak the burn in the tide water. No soreness, no blisters, no scars. Works everytime. A very old country woman taught me this after I was involved in helping to put out a big fire. Both palms were burned.

Holding your finger in flour works, also.

Never heard of these.

Aloe vera- immediately stops the pain, helps it heal and doesn't contain any nasty man-made chemicals.

lavender essential oil--sparingly applied to the burn. Helps heal with no blister, no matter how bad the burn

also, I'd be wary of mustard. Mustard gas is used as chemical warfare because it burns! the same mustard that gets made into a condiment.

I run cold water over a burn for at least 5 minutes. Once the skin heats up, it keeps cooking unless you cool it down. My grandfather was a firefighter and first responder. He rolls his eyes at all the old wives' tales and ALWAYS treats small first degree burns immediately with running cold water to cool the skin. You should always seek medical treatment for large burns or 2nd and 3rd degree burns.
