Tri-flow oil or sewing machine oil

Can someone tell me the difference between tri-flow and regular sewing machine oil, which is better. On regular sewing machine oil, is there a brand that is better? Also there was a link to oiling a featherweight. Can someone tell me what the link is, I am going to write it down. I do not know how to save it on computer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Two lines below MAIN on this board is "For Vintage & Antique Machine Enthusiasts". It's a veritable goldmine of information! Either search on your topic there or just ask; the experience & knowledge there are amazing.

What I was told was sewing machine oil evaporates and doesn't clog the machine when adding more oil. Regular oil will stay and clog up the works.
