New to quilting and looking for advice on triangles. I have learned the quick way of make triangles. However I have 2-3" blocks the same triangle (dark material on right & light on left)design and when I sew them together I cannot get the points to match on bottom & top. Any advice?

Hello and welcome from California! The best advice is regardless how small, place a pin on it. When sewing go slowly, I know I tend to push the fabric and we need to just guide it. Just in case, always keep the seam ripper nearby.

The tips will stick out on either side, just make sure that they are even on both sides before stitching :D:D:D

This may be what's happening...When you sew the two triangle blocks together, the block sizes may match, but the triangle points may be 1/4" (a seam allowance) away from the bottom and top edges of the joined piece. When you add the next piece along this edge, the seam allowance will be taken up and only the point will be left. Post a Picture and folks will be able to better assist.

Thanks, I'll try making the next row then if it the points don't match I'll post a photo for more suggestions
