Hi all!
This is a long shot, but I'm trying to find a pattern that I saw in a quilting magazine a long time ago. I don't even remember which magazine, but I figured if y'all are regular readers like me, maybe one of you would remember where you saw it. It was a miniature quilt, either pieced or paper pieced, of a cake. They had an anniversary cake pictured in the article, but the topper was changeable for weddings and other celebrations. I'm trying to find it to make a wedding present. If any of you have seen it and remember which magazine, can you please share? Thanks so much! |
Welcome to the board from Southern California.
I seem to recall seeing something like that. It was a wall hanging? I can't remember what magazine or when though. Hope you can find it! |
I saw this one in the Quilter magazine...March 2009. Hope this helps.
Check out the link...scroll down the page a bit. It's called 'Celebrations'. http://www.thequiltermag.com/issues/2009/march.shtml |

I made a two layer version for my DSD's 21st Bday and she loved it. Goes together very easily.

Love the flowers on the cake. Were they in the pattern or did you add your own touch?

Thanks. They are applique as suggested (not included) in the pattern. I cut them from a fabric I loved and they were in color inspiration for the whole thing.

Thanks SO much! That's definitely it. I really appreciate your help :D
