Trying to quilt as you go on a queen side design

Trying to machine quilt as you go a Japanese fan quilt . I am lost. Doing by strips With machine embroidery designs . I know how to attach each row in the front but how do you attach the backing and have a finished seam. If I put the seams together and then machine quilt I get twisted. I want to embroider fist and the put togther.have pictures if someone can tell me how to send. Thank you

The backing needs to be hand sewn along the joins to finish the back. At least that is the only way I know of to do it. Some people can machine sew but it is tricky to make it look good on both sides that way.

Was looking at the QAYG videos and they all attach the back same as the front. Georgia Bonesteel has a couple. There are also others on You Tube. I thought I saved in my favorites but could've been under a website.
