I am working on one now and it feels like it is slow going. Anyway, I am using batting, and decided to go with the polyester batting to keep it as light as possible. I am doing the quilt as you go method, like the kaye wood method and joining the rows with sashing strips.

My DD made this quilt for me using Andrea T. Funk's "How to Make a Too Cool T-shirt Quilt". She found it on Amazon. She did not use a stabilizer. She used a ball point needle and quilted it on her mid-arm with clear monopoly thread.[ATTACH=CONFIG]391276[/ATTACH]

I prefer to use Pellon's woven fusible. It is easier to work with and you still have a nice soft quilt. You can also use the the lightest weight non-woven fusible from Pellon. http://thequiltinmum.com/ If you need further help please go to my website.

I use 906F Pellon (Hobby Lobby) to fuse to the back of the t-shirts. I cut out different sized blocks divisible by 4, example 12 1/2 x 12 1/2, 16 1/2 x 12 1/2. If all blocks are divisible by 4 you can always fit them together in a random pattern no matter how small or how big. I fill in the blank spots with coordinating fabric which helps stabilize the top, add an inside border, sashing. Use warm and natural batting and 100% cotton coordinating fabric on back. the result is a random pattern of shirts. I would post a pic but I'm new to this board and I don't know how!
