I have been asked to make a tshirt quilt.

Here is my design, what do you think? Do I need to change anything? Is it balanced?

thanks for looking

I like it, I haven't made a t-shirt quilt yet

as I have some teddy bear t-shirts and could make myself one

Would the motifs be centered??? I haven't made one but they look great except for the centering. Do you know what I mean??

They are actually centered. The shadow goes into the sashing on the right..Maybe an optical illusion.
What do you think I should do to make it look right without removing the shadow. It is too plain without the shadow.

Or are you talking about the actual tshirts.. Thats the best I could do with the pics I have of the tshirts.. yes they will be centered in the rectangle..

I think it's going to look great! :)
Yes, I was talking about the shirts themselves.

Only concern I see is to make sure that the shadow effect works on the two dark tees in the center row.

Yes, I was wondering about that too, but Im not sure what I could do differently. If I try to add a light colored border around the ts first, I am thinking it would look strange.

Any other ideas?

Do you have more t-shirts to put into it? I just made one that had 20 shirts plus some pretty big "sashing". I used the BQ3 pattern. Here's the link: http://www.quiltingboard.com/t-126291-1.htm
Also, my absolute favorite thing is to use the pocket from a hoodie and leave it open when you quilt it-great place to stash the tv remote!
Also, you can probably find your university's logo fabric here: http://www.broadbaycotton.com/cotton...wing_3079.html The 2 yeard piece was enough for the highlight squares, the border and a strip pieced into the backing too!
No matter what though, I'd use the border you designed! That's really cool!
