Allow yourself plenty of time---mistakes have a way of popping up on t-shirt quilts ! there is an iron-interfacing that is very, very thin---stabilizes the shirts without making bulk. one tip I read was to make the blocks all different sizes so you never have that bulk of so many corners coming together. really smart if you remember it !
the quilts grow heavy fast. use lightweight batting and do not put fleece, minky, etc on the back. definitely pin really well, tie, or send to a long-armer who has done a couple already.
