Tube Piecing

I read in a post a reference made to "tube piecing." Can someone explain what that is? I've never heard of it before.

There are a lot of tutorials and info on Mr. Google. Have fun with it.

This quilt shop/pattern company has a strip tube ruler though you can use other rulers. I love watching their videos that come out monthly

I have seen tube piecing in either a book or magazine article from years ago.

Eleanor Burns of Quilt In A Day has done this type of quilt many times. You might check her site or look for videos online.

http://www.abrightcorner.com/2012/02...ube-quilt.html this is one i liked a lot. not exactly what i thought of as a strip tube quilt though. Still like it enough to want to make one.

For those of you who tried this method, do you like it better than the regular way of making 1/2 square triangles?

Cozy Quilt Co. has lots of tube quilt patterns. Even a strip tube ruler is excellent.

I use this method often. It's quick and easy and if you check the youtube tutes for using the Wondercut ruler you'll find some great variations. Most can be accomplished without the Wondercut, although it is a ruler I use often. I also like Jenny Doan's 4 and 8 HST tutorials.
